In our Gentle Yoga classes, hips and shoulders are among the most frequently requested themes. Why?

Because these major joints mirror each other and serve as containers to store unprocessed stress, anxiety and defensiveness.

Without even realizing it, we reflexively round our shoulders, lower our chin and clench the lower back, hips and buttocks.

While yoga routines focused on stretching these areas can certainly help, the habits we have in posture, movement and reflexes moment-to-moment play a major role in perpetuating chronic discomfort, stuck emotions, and misalignment.

In this 3-day workshop, we will not only learn effective yoga routines for opening the hips and shoulders but also instill new posture and movement habits; and  learn about the surprising one key body part to relieve and prevent hip, shoulder and back pain. (hint: its not your hips, shoulders or back!)

These new habits  will promote your body's natural adaptogenic response. So instead of your day-to-day actions contributing to pain and discomfort, they will promote continuous healing and regeneration.

 Through pranayam (breathwork) and mindfulness practices we will release stuck energy and clear the unprocessed emotions that cloud the mind, cause emotional disruption and block freedom, ease and range of motion.
